Novo disco, já uma vasta legião de fãs, um reaproximar da atmosfera que se sentia noutros tempos da música portuguesa, uma banda ultra competente, que irá subir certamente ao trono da música nacional...
Afinal parece que ainda há, segundo o facebook da banda, pelo menos 8 mil pessoas que pesquisam e procuram encontrar algo nosso, bom, e promissor para ouvirem e apreciarem por vontade própria.

Há anos que adoro as músicas desta mulher, (ex-Smashing Pumpkins) e sempre que pego no disco dela, passo a gostar um pouco mais ainda! Pois é e na verdade há um "novo" álbum de 2010!

Ontem dei uma olhadela no jogo Bétis-Zaragoza, e desde logo houve um jogador que me chamou à atenção, Juan Carlos, do Zaragoza, claramente extremo esquerdo, canhoto, rapidissimo, a fazer parecer o lateral direito do Bétis um jogador lento, o que não é, e de uma simplicidade de processos como já não se vê nos extremos "malabaristas" de hoje...

The band had its beginnings in 2003 when guitarist and singer Daniel Davies (son of Dave Davies of The Kinks) met bassist Rich Mullins of Karma to Burn in a Hollywood grocery store; at the time Mullins was having drug problems and was homeless. Within a week, the two were friends, living in an apartment together, often going on drinking or cocaine binges.[1] Over the next seven months they spent time in drug rehabilitation and halfway houses.
In November 2004, they went to the Scene Bar in Glendale, California to see a band called Hours and Minutes with drummerBrad Hargreaves of Third Eye Blind fame (unbeknownst to the band at the time). Davies and Mullins asked Hargreaves to have a jam. Around that time Third Eye Blind was asked to play as the Kinks on the show American Dreams. Hargreaves was intrigued with the fact that Davies was son of the Kinks' real-life lead guitarist, and the two became friends and continued jamming under the name of Year Long Disaster. They eventually started gigging locally in Los Angeles and caught the eye of Mark Needham, producer for The Killers. They then recorded an EP and began touring nationwide, increasing in popularity. In 2007 they signed a recording contract with Volcom Entertainment and release their debut full length album. The self-titled release hit the stores on October 9, 2007. They were named one of the best new bands for 2008 in the artists to watch feature in Rolling Stone Magazine. Additionally, they won the Yahoo! User's Choice for the month of December 2007.
In 2008 Year Long Disaster appeared on the Iron Maiden tribute album Maiden Heaven with a cover of Iron Maidens first singleRunning Free. On August 17, 2009, it was confirmed that the band had begun working on their second album.[2] Titled Black Magic; All Mysteries Revealed it was released March 8, 2010. The band parted with drummer Hargreaves, due to his ongoing commitment to Third Eye Blind, later that same year, replacing him with Karma To Burn's Rob Oswald.
In June 2010, Year Long Disaster toured Europe with all three members of Karma To Burn as part of the band.[3] With Davies next joining Karma To Burn on a July–August tour of Europe, the two groups seemed to be sharing identical lineups. After providing vocals for selections on Karma To Burn's next two studio albums, Appalachian Incantation and V, Davies opted out of the band in 2011. With Mullins fully focused on Karma To Burn, the status of Year Long Disaster is unclear.
Isto é o que nos aparece na internet acerca desta banda, mas sobretudo, aconselho vivamente a que pesquisem e ouçam o que estes meninos têm para vos oferecer, sob pena de me poderem dar um granda pontapé nos rins caso achem que isto não tem qualidade... Estou à vontade com esta proposta, porque para além das musicas serem fabulosas, o album Black Magic; All Mysteries Revealed, o último, de 2010, está muito bem produzido!!
